Care + Maintenance

Aronson Woodworks ( AW ) furniture pieces are made with solid ash and finished with a multi-layer conversion varnish finish. This allows for a sturdy, stain resistant, and fade resistant piece.

We recommend regularly wiping down with a dry cloth to prevent dust build up. Coasters are not necessary. Should a stain or spill occur, wipe up as soon as possible. If the stain persists, use a gentle solution of warm water and dish soap or another gentle all-purpose cleaner. If items are placed on AW pieces, please pick up the item to move it, rather than sliding on the table surface. For decorative items, felt pads are recommended.

AW recommends that our pieces are placed at least 6-8” away from vents, to prevent drying out the wood, which can cause cracking in extreme conditions. As with most tables, AW pieces can withstand some heat, such as warm coffee mugs or plates from the microwave, but direct heat can damage the surface. Hot baking sheets, pans or pots from the oven or stove top should not be placed directly on the surface of any AW piece. Hot pads or trivets should be used. For decorative items, felt pads are recommended. Black rubber pads or bumpers should not be used.
